4/7/2016 Washer & Dryer Maintenance Info

As part of the Talus Point preventative maintenance program, we inspect and/or clean the washer hoses, dryer vents/ducts and lint screens prior to move in. We also check the smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. These tasks are performed again in each unit during our annual maintenance inspections in the fall. We rely on our residents to properly maintain their appliances, including the washers and dryers, during their tenancy and to notify management if any malfunction should occur. We are therefore asking that you, on a monthly basis, inspect the washer hoses for any leaks, clean the dryer vents and test the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. After each load of laundry, you should also clean the lint filter thoroughly. A clean filter also helps your clothes dry quicker and saves you costs on your electric bill. If you notice any problems, leaks or reduced efficiency in your washer and/or dryers, please report them to management immediately and please discontinue use of the appliance until the repairs are completed.
